I have a boxer that I rescued last summer with the help of NJBR she was chewing her feet and she was a real messshe had a bad lose stool problem and was a good 15 lbs underweight when I got her. After trying several foods it seems shewas is allergic to grains, she is now on blue buffalo grain free and is doing well.

Subject: [boxer lovers] Help, what could be wrong?
Hello,
I am writing as I am confused with what is going on with our boxer. He is 2 years old and has been overall very healthy. He is only fed natural, holistic food. We did try raw for a short period of time. Our boxer last year started exhibiting signs of hair loss, scratching his ears and neck to the point he was bleeding. I brought him into the vets and they ruled out everything except maybe a food allergy. So they put him on Science Diet Z/D dog food. He did great on it, once he was all better we tried him back on his canidae and he started getting itchy again, vomiting a few times a week. Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with his food problem, but about every 3 months he has to go to the vet with some type of internal infection. He won't eat, get up, and shakes. They put him on an antibiotic and he gets better within a few days. Blood work has been ruled out to make sure it isn't his kidneys, liver, etc. No idea why this keeps
happening, has happened 3 times so far. So we recently put him back on the Z/D food because he was itchy and vomiting and I thought he was doing better, however a week ago he started back with the itching and he vomited a few days ago. I am just clueless as to what could be wrong with him. The vets don't seem to be helping much and I just want my pup to be healthy and happy. They even ruled out mange. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any guidence?
