Re: Food for Doxies

Honestly I feed Blue Buffalo Grain free and it is less expensive than Royal Canin, and a lot of people I know wouldn't recommend Royal Canin.  Merrick tends to be quite affordable and it's good quality food, also Kirkland, which is Costco's brand is good quality too.

I'm in Missouri and the only place here that sells Merrick is Petco, but maybe if you go to their website you can find another place in Chicago that would.

Dachshunds are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

I know that there has been many a discussion on this subject, but I wanted to get current recommendations in case anything new has come on the market.

I have been feeding our two adult doxies Royal Canin, Dachshund 28 dogfood, but it is pretty expensive. I have recently lost my job and I wanted to see about a cheaper alternative dogfood. I live in the Chicago area if that matters...

Kind regards,

Steve
