Rescued Sea Turtles Now in Rehab

Rescued Sea Turtles

Meet the new patients in the National Aquarium's Marine Animal Rescue Program (MARP): Olympian, a green sea turtle, and London, a kemp's ridley. The sea turtles were rescued by our stranding partner in New Jersey. As soon as they were stabilized, they were transferred to our Animal Care Center in Baltimore for long-term rehabilitation. The turtles have a long way to go, and we'll keep you updated on their progress. Read More

Thoughtful Choices

Our Choice:
The National Aquarium's Marine Animal Rescue Program (MARP) rescues, rehabilitates, and releases sick and injured marine mammals and sea turtles.

Your Choice:
Always dispose of trash properly, so it doesn't end up in the ocean, where it can sicken or entangle the animals that live there. You can also help rid the waterways of debris by joining a cleanup like the International Coastal Cleanup or Fort McHenry Field Day.
