One of the truly good things about buying from reputable breeders is I always ask (and they ALWAYS say yes) that if something happens to me, would they see about rehoming the dog. And then my boarding kennel and vet have in their records who to contact.

I really like this. I was talking to a lady at the park today. She mentioned this would be her last dog because she was up in years. She is worried what would happpen to a dog if she died. I told her to find someone you trust and ask if they will take your dog in the event of your death. She is such a dedicated owner and it seems a shame not to have a dog at her side in her golden years.
