Welcome to the media. Imagine what you are NOT hearing on matters of
national political import. I'm glad you guys made it to a cool place. I
thought about heading to a hotel, even though we have power. Our A/C is not
long for this world and I wasn't sure it would survive the heat wave. But,
we managed with some kludges and suffering.
Meanwhile, don't throw out any meat that has been in the fridge. If you can
catch it soon enough, cook large stews and freeze them or, just chop them up
and package them for dog food.

Subject: [boxer lovers] PERS: Geez::: the news sure edits things out crazy!
As some of you know, I was interviewed at the hotel we stayed at on
Sunday and Monday nights (Comfort Inn Sweets in Englewood, just a
couple miles from our home) to get away from the oppressive heat of
our house, by WDTN, Channel 2 News, here in Dayton. Several people
in GOBR had told me about hearing it this morning while I was still
asleep, that it made me sound like we were staying in a motel even
after our power had come on - NOT as you read earlier. It was 2:00
in the morning when they had interviewed me at the hotel. The guy
doing the interview and filming it, with Willie B sitting beside me
on a couch in the lobby of the hotel, asked a bunch of different
questions. One he asked was what emotions I had felt since the power
went off. Well, they cut out half of the answer to that question
both in the clip they showed as well as the written article on the
same web page.
Here's the part they showed on the news clip they aired, and also had
in the article at its side....
"It's very frustrating, that's the big thing. Even when we got it
back yesterday, yes it was exciting to have it back, but it was so
frustrating because we've lost the food in the house," said hotel
guest Rachel Osborn.
They left the rest off... "It was even more frustrating to get the
power back on Sunday, only to loose it again after just 3
hours. That is when we came to the Comfort Inn."
There were other questions, but seems they cut all of that out, as
well as the rest of the answer to the above question which would have
made the answer make sense. I did have one person tell me there was
another short clip early this morning on the news of me talking about
being Director of Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue and it being hard to
Direct when I have not had Internet access since Friday to read the
e-mails and all. I can't find that clip on their web site though so
not sure exactly what they aired and cut out.
Here's the link to the one question they showed that I wrote about above.
