RE: [boxer lovers] Food Recalls

I have heard that people handling some dog foods have contracted either
Salmonella or E. Coli, can't remember which offhand. So much laxity exists
in the pet industry, food, treats and toys, that it has now reached
proportions to threaten not only our pets but us as well.

Not to sniff at these problems but this is part of the reason why I feed
raw. The main reason is, of course, because I feel it is best for my dogs.
but, it also gives me comfort to know that my dogs aren't eating some of the
things that, sadly, are being fed to pets that seem to be harming them.

Please, whatever you choose to feed your pets, make sure they are the best
quality you can. monitor the companies that make them, the countries of
origin and the ingredients. We cannot guard our pets from everything any
more than we can our kids, but we can be vigilant.
