Hi Alice,
For the Blue Boxer the only genetic defect that I know about that is not the usual in boxers as a rule is the fact that a gene for Alopecia ( skin disorder) couples with the blue or dilute gene...it is carried by all blues but does not affect all...
I have not seen what that does exactly yet... I read it cause either the hair to break off or fall out in some of the blue areas on the dog....I read it usually starts on their ears...between the ages of 2 and 3 but can in severe cases affect puppies...not like many genetic diseases ...it is not fatal...This gene is in many breeds that make them a blue gray to steel gray, taupe beige to taupe brown with gray mask and markings.
For instance... the German Shepherd, the Chow, Pomeranian, Italian Greyhound, the Weimeriner, etc.
There is something to treat it that can be used topically but I will have to look that up again to see what it is... I forgot...but that is the only draw back to the blue color...other that the fact that it is not accepted in the show ring...
The whites I have only read of blindness which affects some whites but not all..as well as not being accepted in the show ring... That is all I know about them...
I am sure some may know more than that about the whites...

Subject: [boxer lovers] Blue Boxer Genetic Conditions
One of the threads mentioned genetic disorders for Blue Boxers, and for White Boxers. What are they? Are there any traits that improve because of the gene for blue or for white?
