Well I found the bottle you mentioned.. it is really different from what we use to have when my kids were babies...looks like it will work... I tested it out to see how much liquid comes out of the nipple...and it is not very much...it will take a lot of sucking to get much milk out of it... is that the way it is suppose to work...I thought it would have let a bit more out... I will see how the puppies like it...
I also got some cream especially for putting on nipples to heal and soothe them... Boo's teats look like they have been mauled. I imagine they are sore...hopefully this cream will help.
Will let you know how it goes.. :O)

Subject: Re: [boxer lovers] Question about feeding a puppy milk/ Kat
Hi Kat!!!!
I have missed talking to you.... this little puppy reminds me of Oreo...she is a reverse brindle with white collar and white on middle of face and nose and all under neath her...she is precious but like I said I am having problems with feeding her supplement... I took her to the vet that did her tail cause it looked like it was not closing up and apparently Boo licked it too much and some of the skin under her tail that was sewed up is not there now..but it is not infected it has a scab and the vet said it should be ok as long as it is healing ...she may have a little bald spot on the very end of her tail though...Vet said she looks healthy ..just small...and is not dehydrated so to keep supplementing her so she gets as much as she will take...and she should be fine... Maggie (Boo's mom) is smaller than Boo and so is Maggie's mom and sister... so maybe she is just like them instead of big like Boo... Boo was 74 lbs at her vet check just before she got
pregnant...and she is not fat...
The Vet said to use a syringe and I have been doing that but I still think they get the milk too fast and so I put them on Boo to get the sucking too...and watch to be sure I am not putting too much in their little tummys... I did feel like they need a nipple too with that .. I release just enough milk on their tongs so they can sup it in and then after I burp them to get any air out...
There are several that are seeming to not get enough but as a whole Boo has been doing good. I am feeding her multiple times a day... she is getting Blue Buffalo puppy food kibble and Blue Buffalo Canned Holistic food...scrambled eggs and plain yogurt and steamed chicken...as well as some of the goat milk and cottage cheese at times too... alternating all the last items in between the dog food feedings ... she is always hungry..wanted to make sure she has the best so she will have milk and keep her health too...
I will look for the bottle you mentioned .. sounds like that is what I have been looking for... was going to check at Orshlyns and will check at walmart too... I had thought of the platex nursers cause they don't let the air get in the tummy... not sure if they would work for puppies or not... Boo has very big teats and so the nipple on the bottle does not have to be real little just not let the air in as much..
I figured if anyone would know ...you would... thanks...and the Vet said the goat milk is fine.. I am still trying to get her to get milk from Boo as much as possible...first...then giving her extra if she does not get enough or is whinning...
BTW How are Oreo and her pups doing?
Here is a link to my facebook album of Boo and her babies... they will be two weeks old Saturday...eyes are open and they are trying to walk around already...they even were trying to eat out of Boo's food bowl...Ha but I took it away cause I was worried they might choke on some of the soften kibble cause they are not completely mushy...
Can I let them start eating if they want to... or would their tummies not handle food yet? With Maggie's pups I gave them rice baby cereal in formula at first and then let them had doggy food later...

We have two reverse brindles, two gray brindles, two brindles with half collars...one boy one girl and Two brindle boys like Marcus and one girl like Marcus...there are 6 girls and 3 boys.... whew and I am tired already.... :O)
So happy to be talking to you again... missed you...
