RE: [boxer lovers] Looking for a Boxer puppy

Most rescues do not come with papers and most rescue organizations require spay or neuter. Of course, spay or neuter is a DQ for showing since the purpose of showing is to evaluate breeding stock.

Debbie, do papers go along with rescues? If Jennifer wants to show her puppy she will need registration papers at the least..
I don't know how that works but my sister bought a rescue English Setter and he is beautiful and belonged to a guy that had to let him go because he was being shipped out to Iraq...but she was not given the dog's papers even though they said he was registered...Does that vary from state to state? This was in Texas...

Dont write off rescues with out checking. In our area there are several puppies for adoption from the boxer rescue group and the other shelters.

Hi all,
I've been with the group for awhile now and although I haven't posted much lately, I do read and keep up with the group. You may or may not remember my Boxer, Hogan, passed away about a year and a half ago, November 15, 2010. I have missed him terribly since although I have two other dogs (not boxers, a Cane Corso and a shepherd mix). Not a day has gone by that I have not thought of him. Anyway, I am at the point now where I am looking for a Boxer puppy. I thought about rescue but I would like to show and I also think my Cane Corso would accept a puppy far better than if I brought home a full grown dog. I am looking for a very nicely marked flashy fawn male. I am in the Ohio area but can travel reasonable distance for the right pup. If anyone hears of anyone with a puppy meeting the description of what I am looking for, I would appreciate the info. The puppy will be very well care for and spoiled rotten.
Thanks all
Jennifer
