Who knows? I was given a whole long list of things the momma had to have by a woman who (supposedly) knew all about whelping dogs and raising litters.
And then she told me my bitch had her big healthy sassy puppies "early" because Misty whelped on day 60. While telling me HER bitch was "late" with ordinary sized litter and ordinary sized pups on day 66. I couldn't get her to understand that "average 63" days, and our two litters proved it. *sigh*
