And I might add that the testing only proves that the two dogs you are breeding don't have any of those diseases...so your risk is better with them than one that is not tested but it is not a guarantee their pups wont have a genetic disease..... like Mary said genetic diseases can be passed down and show up anywhere...
I felt since Boo has not had the Alopecia and her grandfather (blue brindle did not either that my chances of having pups that did not get it either were better... but that is not a guarantee as with any generic disease...plus I tell people the risks before I sell them one...I would change my mind if any did develop the disease...
If one did not breed a dog because of possible genetic diseases... there would be no boxers bred anymore...you take the best you have and breed them hoping to have a line free of genetic diseases. At least that is how I think it is suppose to work...
