Re: [boxer lovers] Bloat

Hi Val,
Chicken necks can be fed raw or cooked. You should never feed any other bone from
the chicken, cooked or raw, as either way it will splinter up inside the dog.
Apart from that, Boxers have very sensitive tummys so you have to be careful what you feed them.
You are very wise not to feed your dog on raw meat.
My husband is an ex Butcher and he said anyone (dogs Or humans) that eat raw meat can pick up Worms and Bacteria

I have never fed raw and honestly am not comfortable with the idea. I was shocked to see the recommendation to feed poultry bones. It has been pounded into my head to NEVER feed poultry bones as they splinter. Does someone want to explain what I apparently don't understand? I am not opposed to learning!

Thanks!

Val
