I have a male standard red dachsie and he will turn and run home when she sees another dog. But I had a female years ago and would do what yours did. She would chase after the biggest dog on the block. Wasn't scared of anything or anybody but the most gently with her family. I wonder if that's more a trait of the female. Betty

My second dachsie, a red standard smooth girl, took on and chased a St. Bernard out of our yard---of course, St. Bernards aren't known for their ferocity, but still, the size differential was pretty amazing. That big boy ran like your wouldn't believe! My dachsie was very pleased with herself when she returned to the house.

Looks like nobody has posted in a month. I have a Dachsie named Roscoe and he tried to attack a pit bull. lol Thank God the Pit didnt get angry. Whats new in your world?
