I too am so sorry for your loss. I have two tweenies, Winston and Zoe, brother and sister. Unfortunately they both have been diagnosed with IVDD. Zoe had back surgery when she was 3 1/2 yrs old and she will be 9. She is as good as new. We are currently on week #6 of crate rest with Winston with a back episode....but things are going well...knock on wood. I just adore these two....

I love my doxie so much and would love to think that I can have hin as long as she did. I worry, too, about his back, but there is NO way I can slow him down!! So until then, I will just cherish him and love him.

Sorry for your loss, I can imagine it was hard. I don't look forward to
when that day comes with mine. I think I'm most worried about their backs
but I do everything I can to make sure they don't jump so much but it can
be hard since they are so active.
