And many others!

We can't protect our pups completely.  The stronger they are the better.  My 8 yo doxie does her own thing.  We go walking and she immediately heads for the creek and in she goes.  I am waiting for the day I have to go slipping down the bank to haul her back up, but I can't forbid her her fun.  I don't let them jump off the furniture without an exercise mat, or onto an exercise step.  We can minimize, but can't eliminate.  8)

Subject: RE: <Dachsie World> Newbie

I'm new to the Doxie world. I've had my smooth tweenie, Penny for about 9 months.  I think she's either a light black and tan or a dark chocolate color. She's beautiful- whatever it is.

I've heard the expression Piebald but I'm not sure what it means or why it is controversial? Is that the color?

Has anyone known of Doxies in agility?  I have my large Yorkie in agility classes and he LOVES it. But I'm afraid of the jumping (and landing) for a Dachshund.
