It is a long time since I have been on this group, can I say I had other things to do, which of course is partly true and I guess I just forgot. Since I last posted I have lost 3 doggies, Lisa in September, 2010, she was 15 and had a stroke, then in November of the same year, our min. poodle Corey who was also a bit over 15. In April last year, I lost the light of my life my min. long haired dachie MARTY, who had a massive seizure and the vet said he would have horrendous brain damage so he had to be euthanized, he also was a bit over 15. I'm beginning to think that 15 years was unlucky for the three of them. They will of course, be forever in our hearts, especially Marty. For a few months I couldn't think of getting another dachie. Then the need became to great and I contacted the breeder of Marty and asked if she had or knew of a min. long haired dachie about a year old that needed a new home. She had a boy who was 2 on September 13th and would I be interested. Was I!!!!!We went and got him, he is black and cream and one of the most delightful dachies we have ever owned. We have had him now for 3 months and it is as though he never lived anywhere else. He is a bit nervous of people as he had not had a lot of contact with people, we will be taking him to obedience classes in February, so hope that helps.
I am a firm believer in fate and know that this darling dog was meant to be ours! I have added his photo to my list of dachies.
