Here is a photo of the little guy. He should be an easy foster for any household. He's good with other dogs and very mild mannered. We had a rescue willing to take him but they backed out because of the risky surgery. We are still currently looking to get him somewhere asap so he can be treated and be comfortable. I appreciate the help. I'll keep you posted on my end. Thanks again!

We have a fantastic vet in VA who can probably do the hernia repair cheaper than most ~$600 I think was the last anal hernia she did (inclusive of nuter & post-op meds, etc.) BUT..... I have no room for him in foster, unless it was on a VERY temp basis & only until he had recovered enough from surgery to travel to a perm foster spot w/ another group.
Do you have any photos of this guy? I can post him around & see if anyone has foster space to commit to him.
Oh... and I have a doggie transport coming down this fri/sat from the RI/MA area, so if you get any takers that need transport help for the doxie.... let me know. :o)

Hello
I recently contacted you on a dachsund we had at the pound here in Dracut, Ma, Willie. We had another come in on the 18th of this month with serious skin issues. Today we noted him having a difficult time defecating and noticed his rear was all swollen. We did x rays and discovered he has two hernias that will require extensive surgery. If we cannot find a rescue to take him and do the surgery we will have to euthanize him before he gets too painful. Please let me know if you can help! Thank you
