RE: [boxer lovers] Question

I don't think there was any judgment there. It was a warning more than
anything. If you think there may be something wrong with your pet, yes, we
are happy to help. But, if it may be acute or emergent, please, take the
animal to the vet rather than ask this group. There are a NUMBER of reasons.

The first is that it IS a moderated list so it takes time for questions to
be approved and posted. Then, more time for answers to be approved and
posted. On top of that, you don't know how good those answers may be. All
due respect to the members, to my knowledge, none of us are vets and for
sure, none of us can see your dog.

We are happy to help in any way we can and neither Lisa nor Mary were
discouraging such sharing. Neither of them were judging, either. They were
just reminding you that if the problem seems urgent, don't wait for us.
There was no judgment, no assumption that you were not caring for your
animal, simply a reminder that if time ifs of the essence, this is not the
place.

We all care about our animals and yours as well and are happy to help. Part
of that help is to remind you not to depend on our speed when your dog's
safety is on the line.

Remember, also that this is a simple, print medium with no emotional
inflection. You can read a lot into a message that may or may not be there.
Please try not to take the worst spin on a message. It was more than likely
not meant that way.

And thank you for rushing to such judgement that this was the only way in
which I may have reached out for any type of info. or help. I must say what
attracted me to this group was that it seemed a friendly place. I did make a
call to the vet and as it turns out she checks out fine so just wanted to
let YOU know that despite the fact that YOU assumed I was not caring for or
was being completely irresponsible that was NOT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM EVER
THE CASE. But thanks for the rush to judgement.Hope everyone has a wonderful
holiday season! Best wishes to all.
