Subject: 5 year old Dachshund - needs rescue placement

My name is Amy Walter and I'm the Dog Transfer Coordinator for the Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue, WA. We had a 5 year old spayed female purebred Doxie surrendered to our shelter with a slipped disk. Our Veterinarian's think that decompressive surgery would be the best option for her, but SHS is financially restricted for this surgery (could expect to pay $5,000-$7,000). I have attached notes from our DVM along with information about her from the previous owner. Her name is Bon Bon and she is black/tan. Our local Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue Representative has stepped down from her position and no one has taken over for her.

Please let me know if you can offer assistance or if you know any other rescues to try. We can arrange transport.
