Pulmonates

Pulmonates (Pulmonata) are an informal group of gastropods that include air-breathing snails and slugs. Most pulmonates are terrestrial or freshwater species, although there are a few marine species as well.

Gastropods

Gastropods (Gastropoda) are a highly diverse group of molluscs that include more than 60,000 species and account for about 80 percent of all living molluscs. Members of this group include terrestrial snails and slugs, sea butterflies, canoe shells, conchs, whelks, limpets, periwinkles, oyster borers, coweries, nudibranchs, and many others.

Cephalopods

Cephalopods are a group of molluscs that include 800 living species. Members of this group include the octopuses, cuttlefish, squid and nautiluses. Cephalopods are exclusively marine animals. They include the largest, most intelligent and most mobile of all molluscs.
