Dear Janell,
We are Richard and Mary Veach and we have been out of work for 2 years and have a chance at a job, but can only have two small dogs, We have three and Lucy needs medical attention as she has two small fatty lumps on her breast and the vet says they are probably benign (fatty tumors), but we don't want her to suffer and being out of work we cannot have them checked. She is very loving and friendly and usually very quiet. She is trained to a pet door and goes out to do her duty when she needs to and loves to sleep in the sun. She has always been a cuddlier at night in our bed, although can be pushily sometimes in bed. Lucy is AKC Registered Female, she is red with white highlights, semi long wire haired and weights 12 ½ pounds. She has a chip which # is OA10125045. She was sprayed on January 31, 2011 at the Human Society of Redmond. She had all her shots, the last one was the Canine distemper-Adenovirus type 2-parainfluenza-parvovirus vaccine given to her 1/26/2011 so she could be sprayed. Her Rabies is good to 11/21/2012, She has not had a bordetella shot, as we were told that since she was not allowed to run loose and was kept with us that she didn't need it. Other than that she is very good health, but doesn't tolerate young children,  she does not like to be teased, unless she can get away from them and hide in one of our three crates, most of the time with the door open, when we  leave her, she in locked in with food and water. Since we are unemployed she is never locked in there for more than 4 hours at a time. We have not had any fleas since we move two years ago to Redmond. I have all her vet records and AKC Certificate.  We wormed her about 6 weeks ago. Lucy loves to go in the car and is leashed trained, she wants to be near you all the time. Lucy eats Kirkland brand Super premium Dog Food.  Lucy likes Kirkland Dental Chews plus glucosamine and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, we used these for treats. She gets ¼ at a time. Lucy doesn't take any medication. She has no known allergies or skin problems.
This is very hard for us to do, we had her since she was 4 months old, would like to keep her, and want her to have a good home. Lucy had three litters of pups. First one was 5 puppies, second was 4 but one died in birth and the third one she had three. She knows the words, house, pen, No bark, and no. Lucy likes to wash other animals ears, and loves to go for walks. Lucy teeth since to be fine as she eats dry dog food and never had a problem. Lucy gets along with other dachshunds, and if they bark at a cat she  will join in. But we also are in need of a job.

The fee would be a hardship but we would come up with it, as we want to go to a good home, but it would take a couple of weeks, and we want her to be loved as we have loved her. We are in need of transportation for her from Redmond.
