I also had a deaf Boxer she was the boxer that sold me on the breed really it was quite the shock to admit that she couldnt hear she used my german shepard as her ears he seemed to know what was going on with her. using treats she was hand sign trained stay in the car wait at the door to be asked to go out or in treats and more treats she ended up going to nursing home 1 day a month for visiting purposes like ya think I dont understand what you are saying . Sock balls to get her attention yes I became a good throwier of socks she was with us for 13 years she never gave us any problems because she could hear. CSU said she had ear follicals but her ear drum was mis shaped so any chance of hearing was not a option she gave plenty of love . we have had 5 more Boxers since some rescue some just chewed on the kids to much so they cant keep them an here we have them.
