Hi, again.  Here is my previous email WITH photos attached.  These photos are a few years old, but he looks about the same (he's a little thinner now).

Milton is a small (about 12 lbs.) red/brown short-haired neutered male dachshund.  He is 7 ½ years old (born March 2004), house-trained, walks on a leash without pulling and up-to-date on all his vet care.  He is a sweet but sometimes nervous/high strung boy.  He will bark when he is nervous.  It will take a caring situation to allow him to settle in and become comfortable.

Hi, Kim.

I'm writing to ask how one goes about relinquishing a dachshund to Dachshund Rescue.  Much as it pains me, our little fellow Milton is suffering the pangs of divorce, and he would do well to have a new and loving home.  (The divorce is actually very amicable, but I cannot take Milton in where I am now living, and my ex-husband is never home, and his partner is allergic).

We also have some inquiries out around where we live (which is the greater Portland area in Maine), so hopefully something local will turn up, but I'm trying to explore all possibilities.  Milton tried a couple of households recently, but neither of them worked out.  :(  He can be a little high strung, unfortunately, but he is a lovable guy.

Your advice would be much appreciated!

Susan
