34013 Is Paula, a Doxie Mix (dappled) NO PIC who is a doll and loves kids and other dogs. She was so quiet that she did not get her photo taken. She is only 15 pounds and 6 to 12 months old. I played with her for a little while and she is just a love.

Message from Athens Volunteer Rita regarding dogs selected for Euthanasia Wednesday morning
Hi AllShelter is open from 10 to 4 and earlier for rescues with an appointment to pull dogs. If you have a gps, use 45 Beaverdam Rd. Ext., Athens (previous address) to locate the facility.Tonight it is urgent that you call me 706 410-7941 or animal control 706 613-3540 or fax animal control 706 613-3545 because I cannot figure out how to juggle too many dogs in an inadequately sized shelter.
The staff doubled and tripled the dogs in runs (not usually done here) just to save them. Some wonderful rescues pulled over ten dogs and yet still no room. If you can find it in your heart and home to save one of these dogs, you will be very happy. All are good with kids and dogs. All are calm and well mannered. 33971 is Axel. He is 7 months old, 30 pounds, handsome and very calm. At 7 months old, he is very polite, patient and very gentle. I have not hear a bark or even a whimper from him during his stay at animal control.Please refer to the ledger number when calling about a dog.

Arthur is so handsome! He's has pretty brown eyes, and ears that stick straight up in the air! He is so shy that it was hard to get him out of the kennel, so to avoid stressing him out we joined him inside. While he was very nervous at first, he came up and sniffed us. 34000 is Socks, a border collie flat retriever mix who is calm and sweet. She has a beautiful coat and a sweet personality. I cannot remember her weight but I think it is around 40 -45 pounds. Socks likes people, kids and other dogs. She arrived yesterday and will die tomorrow if not adopted or rescued. How sad.
