Hi We have tried very hard to make our home safe for Sookie and another close call has caused us to search for a new home for her before she gets hurt by another horse. A quick update on Sookie she is an 11 month old boxer puppy that was kicked in the head by a horse 6 months ago, she does have some brain damage but for the most part is like a normal dog at this point. She has come a long long way in recovery. Her problems are she looses traction on slipery surfaces so wears boots on her hind feet, she does great on grass and carpet with out boots. She also does not understand some things such as she will walk right under my horse, on in front of a car, she will jump on the side of an cliff (on our property), she will go under my horse trailer and get stuck, she has tried to jump a 3 foot fence and got stuck on top of the fence so as you can see we have so many danger zones here that it has become impossible. I have tried so hard to keep her safe and invested $$$$$$$ making our ranch safe for her but I cant. So if anyone would be interested in a super sweet and very loving boxer she is located in Temecula CA (so cal) She gets along with all animals and kids but would not do well on a ranch.
