Boxers were bred to take care of children - they placed them in schoolyards in Germany because the kids all loved the dogs and the Boxers were so wonderful with the kids, but the Boxers would not allow anyone into the schoolyards - they were the protectors of these children....

I had a big male boxer -- show dog -- who was always try to "steal" any
baby he could find. I had to insist he at least find some that were
housebroken.
