All of our puppies have been through quarantine. All of our adults have been vetted. These dogs are "safe", however, while we have them in our care we cannot pull the pound dogs that are so desperate. There are some great adult dogs and puppies listed. Please let me know if you have any questions. There are more dogs at the pound out of time and they are full and we are full!! We need to make room. We also have some beautiful cats and kittens as well. All have been through quarantine. I also have some pound dogs listed. This is not all of them. They are totally full even with us pulling 3 dogs this morning. Please help if you can. The Franklin County Animal Shelter can only make direct adoptions to families of Franklin County or adjacent counties. However, if you live out of area, FCAS does work with other Rescue Groups who are most helpful. There is Franklin County Humane Society 540-489-3491 Angels of Assisi 540-344-8707 and Martinsville SPCA 276-638-7297; they will be happy to work with you. So don't give up please contact them Transport help is available. They are full and dogs will die tomorrow unless we can help one. Two beautiful but malnourished girls find themselves in the pound! One is a red tick and one is a walker hound. Both appear to be 9-12 months old. Shiloh , tiny little girl, about 25 lbs. Great with other dogs, good on lead. Great girl! Foxhound Medium, Young  This little one is a cutie pie and very sweet. He was a stray and the person that found him has to "get rid" of him this week. Please let me know if you can help. Estimated he is around 3 yrs old, un-neutered, VERY sweet beagle. He's had his rabies vaccine, he was HW negative and has been de-wormed. About 22lb, appears housetrained  Bo is a great dog. Fine with other dogs and well mannered. Clean in his den. these two are too cute for words. Very happy puppies. About 25 lbs.  Celo is a wonderful girl of about 35 lbs. She is great with people and other dogs. Cats unknown  I can not even tell you how wonderful this boy is! He appears to be housetrained and loves everyone. His personality would get him adopted in a heartbeat. Please consider him. June , from a hoarding case. Spent her entire life in a metal building among large amounts of trash. He was given a sandwich and gave it to the puppies and earned his name Poppy. He was adopted out and brought back since his family lost their home. He is a fantastic boy!  Shannon, loves to play and fetch, such a good girl and gets over looked. Please consider her.  Gorgeous handsome and loveable. Huge personality and just a good goofy boy.Corgi Medium, Adult The dogs below are from a hoarding case we are working on. We have removed 4 adults, 5 puppies, 11 kittens and 1 cat. There are 4 adults living on 2 foot chains and they need help. There are also 14 more cats left. The dogs that have been removed are very sweet, clean in their area, and have been good with other dogs. Down to the last two!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is a nice boy, needs to gain weight!
