Thanks for your concern, but please be assured the breeder is very good. It's going to be hard to wait, but we won't get the new baby until sometime well into August. I'm so excited, I can't stand it. Our wiener play group is mostly a pairs thing so I guess it was inevitable that we would get another one. Being a single girl, Chrissy is a bit intimidated when we go to the meetups. She's tough on her turf with the bichon but turns into a real wienie at the meetups. Having another like minded dachsie, pushing and shoving at home, will prepare her for the group.

We have a 10 year old bichon, that we love to death, and I was always very quick to say that one pet was enough for anybody. But, a friend came for a short stay, bringing her wiener, and I found true puppy love, again. Secretly, my husband told my daughter that she had to find me a dog for Christmas 2009. I like to say that after 46 years of marriage, it was the first time that he actually surprised me. I had no clue and cried happy tears all weekend. Chrissy truly is my dog. As my son says, she likes everybody but she loves mom. GOOD NEWS...I'm so excited. Last night, we decided to get a second dachsie. She needs a playmate for when mom is too busy to play. Jack, the bichon, is no fun. She is very dominant with him but submissive with us. Fortunately, he's a lover not a fighter. Anyway, I found a breeder with a new litter, 5 weeks old.
