Subject: <Dachsie World> New member says hello, again
I recently joined and thanks for the welcome. Our little girl is named Chrissy. She is a black and tan long hair mini. We have a 10 year old bichon, that we love to death, and I was always very quick to say that one pet was enough for anybody. But, a friend came for a short stay, bringing her wiener, and I found true puppy love, again. Secretly, my husband told my daughter that she had to find me a dog for Christmas 2009. I like to say that after 46 years of marriage, it was the first time that he actually surprised me. I had no clue and cried happy tears all weekend. Chrissy truly is my dog. As my son says, she likes everybody but she loves mom. GOOD NEWS...I'm so excited. Last night, we decided to get a second dachsie. She needs a playmate for when mom is too busy to play. Jack, the bichon, is no fun. She is very dominant with him but submissive with us. Fortunately, he's a lover not a fighter. Anyway, I found a breeder with a new litter, 5 weeks old. They are smooth coat minis. We're not particular with the color or gender but want the personality to be compatible. So, any hints on coping with 2 wieners?
