Trooper hit by a car on April 30th

www.FureverDachshundRescue.org

UPDATE ON TROOPER – Thursday, May 5th

Today was Trooper's second surgery – it was much more intense then the first surgery.  He received a bone plate on the humorous and the right tibia.  The tibia has started to heal so the surgeon had to remove scar tissue and straighten the leg back to normal.  Trooper did well during the surgery but was in pain when his foster mom and dad visited.

Trooper can be released on Friday but that means that we only have ONE DAY to raise the remaining funds to pay for his surgery.  Every dollar will make a difference – if you can donate, please go  http://fureverdachshundrescue.chipin.com/trooper

UPDATE - Thursday, May 5, 2011

Trooper had his second surgery today. His foster mom and dad visted him and said that he had staples everywhere. He was still real tired from the surgery but was able to give a kiss or two. Trooper might be able to come home on Friday so that only leaves us one more day to raise the remaining funds!!!!

Please continue to donate and/or keep him in your prayers and thoughts.

Update - Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Trooper was taken to SC Veterinary Specialists today. Trooper will have the surgeries in two parts. Today he had his left tibial and hip repaired and was neutered. He will have a rest day tomorrow. His foster mom will be able to visit. On Thursday he will have the remaining surgery on his humeral shaft and right tibial. He will have long term physical therapy but his foster mom and dad are ready for the challenge.

We are still a little short on the funds needed for his surgery. Please continue to help by donating!

Trooper - hit by car needs surgery – April 30, 2011

Trooper is like most dachshunds he wants to be loved, lay in the arms of someone who cares for him and eat all day but Trooper has other issues. Trooper was rescued from a shelter in GA after he was hit by a car. Once he was rescued by Furever Dachshund Rescue, he was taken immediately to the vet where he was found to have at least three broken bones: a broken right front leg, a broken right rear leg, a fractured left rear leg, a broken tail and a broken pelvis. Trooper wants to play and run and tries to pull himself with his one good leg. He loves his foster mom and dad. He really wants to play with his foster brother Fivel but he can not do any of those things without immediate surgery. (see below for links to pictures and a video of Trooper)

Trooper needs YOUR help! Surgery is an option and he can survive and live a great life but we need to raise funds to pay for the surgery.

You can help making a tax deductible donation NOW! We need to get him into surgery! Every dollar will make a difference for Trooper to have the furever life he deserves.
