May have to look in to it. My Vet want to put her the green bean diet. half cup of food and half cup of green beans. Havent done it yet. She has gotten were she doesnt eat in the morning, she may eat what I put down that morning at lunch and then again it could be dinner before she eats. Try changing his food to a grain free diet. I switched my dogs over to Taste of the Wild about 2 months ago and they LOVE it! I switched mine because Hannah has a weight problem so I wanted to eliminate the grains. Their coats are just beautiful! Often times a dog with allergies has a problem with the food but the vets don't ever seem to tell the owners that. They want to keep treating the dog. Or they will recommend Science Diet which is loaded with chemicals. Think about what your dog would be eating if he/she lived in the wild. How many wolves do you see with skin problems?PamOn Fri, May 6, 2011 at 2:08 PM, freewells95 <fredawells@srcp.com> wrote:
My mother has a ten year old red dachsund that is having horrible problems with his skin. Has been getting alergy shots periodically for quite a while but now worse than ever. He's miserable - his coat is awful and my mother is just heartsick to ease his discomfort. Anyone have this experience? I had a red dachsie myself who died in 2006....at 11...I never had any problems with his skin.
Sad in Texas ~ any suggestions or experience to offer would be great!
Re: Rocky
Hey Donna,
It sounds like she is eating just at different times. Remember that an adult dog does not need as much food as a puppy.
